Calculators
Every calculator shows its formula and assumptions on the page. Results are estimates based on the values you enter, and they are not guarantees.
Calculators are implemented as typed, tested modules. When we change a formula, the revision is versioned so we can explain what changed.
Financial data
Indicators such as rates and inflation come from authoritative primary sources where available (for example, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and FRED).
Each value shows its source and timestamp. If a live source is unavailable, we show the last known value with its age, or clearly mark the value as unavailable — we never invent a number.
Product comparisons
Comparisons list products side by side on APY, fees, minimums, and notable features. Rates are entered from provider disclosures and can change; always verify before applying.
Affiliate relationships are disclosed and do not affect how products are ordered or described.
MoneyPilot Score
The MoneyPilot Score is a 0–1000 educational snapshot calculated from the financial details you report: savings rate, debt load, emergency fund, retirement contributions, and goal progress.
It is not a credit score, it is not shared with anyone, and it does not affect lending decisions.
